Babes4u

Sitting at a bar, Andreas recounts how he just had a big fight with the woman he loves. He starts telling us her story.

Madeleine's journey starts in the late 80s when she leaves her family to go out west. She's sick of being harassed at production jobs and wants to make it on her own. It’s hard to leave her family, especially her recently widowed mother. Landing in San Francisco, Madeleine meets people that support and inspire her. She launches a series of productions that experiment with giving the viewer at home as much control over the content as possible. She injects a good amount of content about sex to make sure it sells.

Madeleine makes a good friend in the porn community called Tornado, a statuesque, larger than life SF VIP. She establishes solidarity with Tornado's anti-censorship, pro-choice, and the activist feminist stance. When cable giant Viacom pulls the plug over content they deem to racy, Madeleine along with help from the ACLU takes them to court and wins a landmark case for freedom of speech.

When Nick West and Red Burns from the interactive Media Program at NYU see Madeleine’s shows they offer her a job and scholarship at their cutting-edge program back in NYC. Burns doubts her decision when she fears Madeleine is just a smut monger. Nick is torn between allegiance to his boss and to his new friend.

She’ll miss her dear friend Tornado if she leaves but wanting to be closer to her mom back East, Madeleine accepts the offer. Little does Red Burns know what she has bargained for.

While in NYC she befriends her coworker the former model Lisa. When Lisa's friend Andreas visits from Germany there is confusion and comedy when they all meet. Things are cute and complicated as the relationship between all three progresses. Eventually Madeleine and Andreas start a long-distance relationship. There is drama with Lisa who used to be Andreas’s girlfriend and still has feelings for him.

While at NYU Madeleine is inspired to create Babes4u. She convinces Tornado to come and help her. There are software struggles and technical mishaps trying to get the business going. We meet many girls of different backgrounds, ages, and body types. Soon Babes4u starts becoming more successful. This clashes with what the university wants and what her family's reputation can endure.

When Madeleine's mother dies, Andreas is there to help pick up the pieces with her siblings. This brings them closer together.

Babes4u gets even more publicity and business is suddenly booming. Madeleine starts stripping herself and wonders if Andreas will still love and respect her. Meanwhile Andreas who wants to stay with Madeleine, needs a visa to stay but can only do so if they marry.

The story catches up to present time when Madeleine storms into the bar looking for Andreas. They had a big fight earlier in the day after the civil wedding at City Hall for his visa. Madeleine was angry it was not the special occasion she had envisioned and that Andreas thought of it as purely bureaucratic.

Later when NBC shows up to her graduation her siblings must come to terms with their feeling of shame and love.

In the end, the media activist who revolutionized the internet has to choose between unbridled success and the family she wants and loves.
