YORB was an ongoing experiment in building an interactive virtual community. Viewers could reach YORB from their phone, computer, or television set. They could simply watch the neighborhood as it was displayed on cable, or they could participate by telephone. Up to four phone callers could be talking to each other live at the same time. One of these callers was the designated pilot, who controlled the journey through YORB through touch-tone buttons on the phone.
